Aliases let you type claude instead of edgee launch claude. Desktop wrappers let you launch an editor through Edgee from your app menu.

Install

For one target only:
On macOS/Linux, CLI shims live in ~/.edgee/bin. On Windows, setup uses shell aliases. Reopen your terminal after installation so the updated PATH is loaded. Desktop wrappers are installed only for editors present on the machine. Look for Cursor (Edgee) or VS Code Copilot (Edgee) in ~/Applications on macOS, the application menu on Linux, or the Start Menu on Windows. Available desktop targets also include Claude Desktop Beta, Copilot Desktop Beta, and IntelliJ IDEA Beta, subject to platform support. Oh My Pi uses the omp shell alias. Copilot CLI and Codex Desktop currently require their explicit edgee launch commands.

Verify

Run the agent by its usual name and make one request. Confirm it appears in Sessions in the correct Edgee organization. For an editor, launch its (Edgee) wrapper for this check.

Remove

Remove all Edgee-installed aliases and wrappers with:
Open a new terminal afterward. You can still use edgee launch claude explicitly. Removing an alias does not delete the original application or revoke organization access.
